Meet Terra Luthi, General Manager
“Opening Eritage in Walla Walla is a true labor of love,” says Terra Luthi, Eritage general manager. Terra has deep connections in the area and is excited to bring something new to her hometown. Born in Kennewick, WA, Terra graduated from Milo Academy, a boarding school in Eugene Oregon. She returned to the area and graduated from Walla Walla University with a major in communications and a minor in graphic design. Since then, she has become an integral part of the Walla Walla community in both her work and personal life.
Terra has more than ten years of experience in hospitality management, including opening the Courtyard by Marriott in Walla Walla. Under her leadership, the hotel was recognized as part of the Courtyard 1000 and Terra was featured during the celebration when she danced on stage with iLuminate. She also previously served as general manager at the Holiday Inn Express. “I am excited to take what I have learned working for franchised hotels and build on that with my own vision and ideas at Eritage.” Locals know Terra as a deeply engaged and committed member of the community, as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, an active Rotarian, and a member of the executive board for the regional tourism organization, Visit Walla Walla. Terra proved that she is willing to do just about anything for the town she loves when she agreed to be a contestant in Dancing with the Walla Walla Starz fundraiser. “Being an active member of this wonderful community is so important to me and it is an incredible honor to shepherd this amazing new property into our valley.”
Terra says that being a good mom to her two children, Ella and Caden, is her greatest accomplishment. Their family includes two Guinea Pigs named Oreo and Penny. They enjoy spending time with Terra’s parents, as well as her brother and sister’s families. Between her family, her community work and her new role at Eritage, Terra laughs at a question about hobbies. “Who has the time?!” But when she does, she enjoys yoga, entertaining and creating art with her children. Terra describes Eritage as a place to push the reset button on life. “Set among the Walla Walla vineyards and Blue Mountains, Eritage offers a true escape from the world. It will give people a chance to stop and take in the beauty around us,” she says. Terra is looking forward to welcoming visitors and locals to Eritage this June.
