As a seasoned Pacific Northwest hotelier, Nancy Helms-Lovell loves to travel, and Walla Walla has long been a favorite destination. Over the years, she and her husband dreamed of moving to Washington’s wine country and fulfilled that goal in August 2020, when Nancy became General Manager of Eritage Resort. “They say that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, and it’s true. This opportunity presented itself at the perfect time and I look forward to continuing the vision for the resort.”
Born in Summit NJ, Nancy began traveling at five months old when her family moved to New Zealand, followed by years living in England and Japan. She returned to New Jersey for college at Seton Hall and then moved across the country to begin her career in Seattle. Nancy has led strong teams at some of the region’s finest hotels including the Renaissance, Edgewater, Four Seasons, Westin, Governor and Avalon Hotel & Spa. She enjoys managing high–end experiential properties in a relaxed environment with a focus on excellent service and culinary offerings and is excited that these values are shared with the Fire & Vine Hospitality team.
Despite a career in the travel industry, Nancy says that home is her favorite place and she loves to cook and entertain with friends and family. She and her husband love all things food and wine and the move to Walla Walla will enable her husband to begin a new career in the wine industry and allow them to be close to Nancy’s daughter while she attends college at WSU. Nancy is an animal lover and her three dogs and two cats are enjoying exploring their new home.
Nancy says, “the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra” and she looks forward to sharing that dedication with the guests and team at Eritage.
